Tcheten Dolma Sherpa

With deep roots in Nepal's Solukhumbu region, I’ve dedicated my life to guiding travelers into the authentic heart of the Himalayas. My passion is making each adventure purposeful—blending local culture, nature, and community connection. Whether we’re exploring hidden valleys, sharing traditional Tibetan meals, or connecting with locals at mountain festivals, I strive to create transformative journeys that leave lasting memories. My focus is on responsible travel: supporting village-based ecotourism, collaborating with local guides, and empowering women and youth. Every trip is a chance to celebrate Nepal’s diversity while building a bridge between guests and the communities that make these experiences possible.

What places and activities do you specialize in?

"Langtang Valley hikes, homestay treks, Tibetan culture tours, eco-adventures, conservation safaris, and festival journeys."

How did you get involved in travel?

"Growing up in the mountains, I learned hospitality from my parents and community. At age 8, my family moved to Kathmandu for better schooling, but I never lost touch with my roots. My first guiding experience was leading foreign students for a community service trek, and I realized how sharing local knowledge and traditions could change perspectives. Since then, travel has been my way of connecting cultures and supporting positive impact."

Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.

"Hosting a meditation retreat with a Buddhist scholar in Bridim village stands out. We practiced together beneath snowy peaks, learned ancient mantras, and listened to stories of resilience from elders. At the end, our guests donated books to the village school. That interplay of spiritual joy, nature, and community kindness was unforgettable—and showed the true meaning of travel for me."

Cultural Immersion in Langtang—An Unforgettable Trek

Dolma crafted a trekking experience like no other—visiting village homes, sharing ritual tea, and joining a local festival. Her focus on culture and community made our Langtang journey meaningful from start to finish.

Our trip with Dolma went far beyond the trails. She introduced us to her family, arranged for a storytelling evening with elders, and even guided a meditation session at sunset. It was fascinating to explore eco-lodges that invest in local education and conservation. We learned about Tibetan traditions, enjoyed homemade meals, and truly connected with Nepal’s spirit. I left inspired and already planning my return for a festival trek next year!

Eco-Adventure and Wildlife Spotting in Chitwan

Dolma arranged a Chitwan tour that blended nature, adventure, and learning. We tracked rhinos, visited a conservation project, and learned about indigenous cultures—an eye-opening experience for my whole family.

From the moment we arrived, Dolma’s attention to detail was apparent. Our guide was fluent in the local dialect, we enjoyed hands-on nature walks, and even shared meals with conservationists. My children learned about animal tracking and local customs. This was more than sightseeing—it was a lesson in respect for nature and people. I recommend Dolma’s eco-tours to everyone who wants a unique side of Nepal.

Women’s Trekking Group—Empowering and Fun!

Dolma led our all-women’s trek to Gosainkunda Lake, focusing on empowerment and fun. From yoga lessons to sharing stories, Dolma created trust, laughter, and confidence at every step.

As a first time trekker, I felt proud to join Dolma’s women-centric group. We celebrated International Women’s Day in the mountains, learned wilderness skills, and gained perspectives from strong Nepali women. Each evening, Dolma invited guest speakers from local communities and we cooked together. It was an empowering, joyful experience—unlike any other trek I’ve had. Highly recommended for solo travelers and women’s groups.
