Note : Traveling to Everest, especially for the Everest Base Camp trek or any mountaineering activity, is an extraordinary adventure that requires thorough preparation and awareness of potential risks.
Flying into Kathmandu, you'll have views of the Himalaya and of the terraced fields and hillsides, below. After completing customs, a representative will be waiting to greet you and drive you to your hotel.
After you've settled in, you'll have time to explore the city. Recommended sights to see on your first day include Kathmandu’s Durbar Square and its narrow alleyways teeming with small shops, ancient temples, and local restaurants, and also Swayambhunath temple, where you can watch the sunset over the valley and the Himalaya to your north.
The tourist hub of Thamel is a good place to grab your first meal, with a variety of restaurants to chose from offering both Western and local Nepali dishes.

Kathmandu has a special atmosphere during the early morning hours when the city is slowly coming to life yet not too chaotic. It's a great time to walk and explore the streets or have a chai overlooking one of the local courtyards or durbar squares.
After breakfast, there are then a number of ways you can spend your day given the numerous famous sights around the Kathmandu Valley. You can use this as a free day or we can provide a local English-speaking guide who knows the city well and can explain the history and significance of the sights (along with a private jeep to take you around).

However you choose to spend your day, you’ll return to your hotel in Kathmandu in the early evening and meet your trekking guide who will go over the details for tomorrow’s adventure.
Later in the evening, head out for dinner at one of the city's great eateries.

Early morning, pick up from your hotel and drive to Phaplu. It's a long drive up to Phaplu of around 10 hours, so you need to start early. After reaching Phaplu, stay in the local lodge available.
The drive from Kathmandu to Phaplu is a scenic journey through the beautiful landscapes of Nepal. Phaplu is a small town located in the Solu-Khumbu region, which is known for its stunning views of the Himalayas and as a gateway to the Everest region. The distance between Kathmandu and Phaplu is approximately 235 kilometres (146 miles)
Leave Kathmandu and head east on the Araniko Highway (also known as the Kathmandu-Lhasa Highway) towards the town of Dolalghat.
You'll need to cross the Sun Koshi River on a bridge, and then continue your journey along the highway.
You'll be driving on the Araniko Highway for a significant portion of the journey, passing through towns like Khurkot and Ghurmi.
Continue driving until you reach Okhaldhunga. This is a major town along the route.
From Okhaldhunga, you'll need to take a left turn onto a smaller road that leads to Phaplu. This road may be less developed, so be prepared for some rough terrain in places.
After navigating the smaller road, you'll eventually reach Phaplu, which is located at an altitude of about 2,413 meters (7,917 feet) above sea level.

Starting with our crew and organizing the porters loads we set off heading north through the foothills of the Himalaya. Our trail is undulating as we cross several side valleys and we pass through the villages of Chewang and Beni before reaching Ringmo. Here we join the Everest trail coming from Jiri and we now follow this over the Thaksindo La (3070m) which gives access to the Dudh Kosi Valley, the main drainage of the Everest region. We stay tonight in the village of Thaksindo (2960m) located just below the pass.
Taksindu Monastery was founded in 1946 by Lama Chuldim of Tengboche. He was joined by other monks living in remote parts of Khumbu, who wished to return to live in Solu, nearer to their home villages. Like the other monasteries in the region, it is a Nyingma Pa 'Red Hat' Buddhist monastery.

The day starts with a long downhill leg as we descend 1300 metres to the Dudh Kosi. We pass through the large village of Nuntalla (2194m) before reaching the foaming river. In Nepali, Dudh means milk and Koshi is a river, so this is the 'Milk River', which brings the melt from Everest's snow down to India's plains. We cross on a long suspension bridge and on the other side; we reach the small settlement of Jubhing (1680m). Now heading north we follow the river gradually climbing above it and entering the side valley of the Khari Khola (Khola = River).
Monastery in Kharikhola: Pema Namding Monastery is a Nyingma Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Nepal which was opened in April 2008. Trulsik Rinpoche of Thupten Chholing Monastery named this monastery. Ngawang Jigdral Rinpoche is the founder and Head Lama. It is located in Jubing VDC. Ward No. 09, Kharikhola, Solukhumbu, Nepal.

After breakfast in Kharikhola, the trail follows a flat path and steeply climbs to Khari La Pass (2880m.). While trekking, you'll pass through rhododendron and oak forests, as well as small Sherpa settlements and tea shops. From this point, you'll be able to see excellent views of different mountains such as Chuili, Cho-Oyu, Gyangchung Kang, and Thamserku. Now, your trail gently descends and flattens out to Chaubar passing through bamboo forests until you reach Puiya for the night.

The trail goes through the Jungle with Bamboo bushes descending to the small settlement of Burke Village. Where Pasang Lhamu Sherpa (the first Nepalese woman to climb the summit of Mount Everest 22-April-1993) was born on 10th December 1961 in Sukre village. Now, the trail goes to the north a large scattered village with fertile land and gets to Chaurikharka, a monastery, and a high school. Chaurikharka (2,694m) is known as the bread basket of the Khumbu area due to growing sufficient barley, wheat and enough green vegetables. The trail continues upwards high above the Dudh Koshi River to the Phakding (2,610m) via Chhipling and Ghat. From the Chheplung, you will see more trekkers fly to Lukla heading to EBC and coming back from Everest Base Camp trek complied. The trail is quite busy with trekkers, porters, and Yaks.

After breakfast in Phakding, you'll start a steady and steep incline towards Namche. This is a challenging day as you'll start to feel the altitude. The route also consists of several high-suspension bridges over the Dudh Kosi River that you need to cross.
Just beyond the village of Monjo is the entrance to the Sagarmatha National Park, which was set up to protect and preserve the fragile mountain environment (your guide will cover your permit fees here). The trail gets steeper along the way, and if the weather is clear, you will get the first glimpses of Mount Everest.
When you arrive at Namche, settle into your accommodations and explore the town. Namche is a great place to stock up on supplies as there are numerous small shops selling snacks and trekking gear, as well as restaurants and bars. If here on a weekend, check out the Saturday market—a meeting place for the Hindu traders from the lowlands and the Tibetan yak caravans that have crossed the glaciated Nangpa La.

Today is a rest day so take time to relax and sleep in. Namche is tucked away between two ridges amid the giant peaks of the Khumbu and has an abundance of lodges, tea shops, and souvenir markets. It is an ideal place to spend a day acclimatizing to the higher altitude.
To speed up the acclimatization process, you can also head to the Khunde Hospital set-up by Sir Edmund Hillary, or take a highly-recommended one-hour walk up to the Everest View Hotel above Namche for views of notable peaks like Ama Dablam, Nuptse, Lhotse, and Everest. There are also good views from the Sherpa Culture Museum just above town.
After breakfast in Namche, you'll follow the trail along the side of the valley high above the Dudh Kosi River. You'll get your first views of the Khumbu region's giant peaks: Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Ama Dablam. Pass by several villages and numerous tea shops, and descend steeply to a bridge over the river at Phunki Tenga. The village is an ideal stopover for lunch and you can rest before making the steep climb to Tengboche.
Although this next zigzag path is tiring, your views will include beautiful rhododendron forests,colorful birds, and superb mountain scenery. Tengboche is famous for its legendary monastery,the largest in Khumbu, and Spectacular panorama of the aforementioned peaks can be seen from where you'll stop for the night.
The Tengbohche Monastery: Tengboche Monastery, also known as Dawa Choling Gompa, in the Tengboche village in Khumjung in the Khumbu region of eastern Nepal is a Tibetan Buddhist monastery of the Sherpa community. Situated at 3,867 metres, the monastery is the largest gompa in the Khumbu region of Nepa
Tengboche monastery is amidst the Sagarmatha National Park (a UNESCO World Heritage Site of "outstanding universal value”), draped with a panoramic view of the Himalayan Mountains, including the well-known peaks of Tawache, Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and Thamserku.
Tengboche is the terminus site of the "Sacred Sites Trail Project" of the Sagarmatha National Park which attracts a large number of tourists for trekking and mountaineering. It is a circular trail that covers 10 monasteries in a clockwise direction terminating in the Tengboche Monastery.

After breakfast in Tengboche, you'll follow the trail down along the side of the valley high above the Dudh Kosi River. Pass by several villages and numerous tea shops, and descend steeply to a bridge over the river at Phunki Tenga. The village is an ideal stopover for lunch and you can rest before making the descent to Namche.

After breakfast in Namche, you'll start a steady and steep decline towards Phakding. The route also consists of a number of high-suspension bridges over the Dudh Kosi River that you need to cross. Phakding to Namche bazaar distance is 9.4 kilometres. Phakding is a small and beautiful village located in the Khumbu region of Nepal. Phakding is situated at 2,610 meters and Namche is situated at 3,440 meters above sea level. The walking duration from Phakding to Namche bazaar is 5 to 6 hours to cross the 830 meters elevation.

After breakfast in Phakding, today is a short hike to Lukla. the last section of trail before arriving takes you uphill a fitting way to finish. With Lukla's handful of shops, bars, and cafes—and even a faux Starbucks!—there are plenty of things to occupy your time as you reflect on your experience.

After your breakfast in Lukla; you will fly to Rammechhap (25 minutes flight). Try to get a window seat on the right-hand side of the plane and keep your camera close: the flight takes you between mountains and through valleys, with great views of the Himalayas on clear days. After your arrival, our representative will be waiting at the airport. Then, you will drive from Rammechhap to Kathmandu (4-5 hours' drive) and will be transferred to your respective hotel in Kathmandu.

It's time to say farewell to Nepal! Enjoy your last moments in Kathmandu with breakfast in a café, a city stroll, and/or souvenir shopping. A representative will meet you at your hotel and drive you to the airport for your return flight home.
