NMMT believes in giving back to society!

We are a socially responsible tour operator based in Nepal. We are fully concerned about being responsible and applying initiative for promoting Responsible Tourism (RT) at the local level. We also advocate with other companies to follow the best practice and help apply the initiative in their own capacity. 

Mr. Ngima Dorji Sherpa, Founder Director of NMMT has been personally involved in various social welfare and awareness programs. Mr. Sherpa has formerly worked as Secretary at Trekking Agents Association of Nepal (TAAN), which is the umbrella organization of Trekking Agencies in Nepal.

We maintain a strict and transparent record of our company’s annual financial activities with different government authorities such as Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation (MoTCA) by submitting an annual progress report, financial reports and renewing of license and other related documents on time.  We strictly follow Nepal Rastra Bank’s regulation (Central Government’s Bank) by submitting regular foreign currency transaction report and renewal of the license for foreign currency transaction and tax office by submitting financial reports.


SOME OF OUR GIVING BACK PROGRAMS INCLUDE:

1. Since 1991, raising fund for the Pankonija Primary School that was established by Sir Edmund Hillary.
2. Raised fund and established Mera Primary School in Khari Khola of Solu Khumbu District.
3. Organized numerous Health Camps in Khari Khola region in collaboration with Robin and Alan from New Zealand.
4. Founder Member of Pema Namding Monastery in Khari Khola of Solu Khumbu district.
5. Established tree nursery in Khari Khola in 2009.
6. We have set up a drinking water project in Khari Khola High School with help from Lions International, NZ.
7. Distributed roofing Zinc sheet to more than 300 families affected by the huge earthquake in 2015.
